Mazda Motor Corporation has announced the following organizational and personnel changes, effective December 1, 2013.

1. Organizational Changes

Changes in the area of cost planning
Aim

• Establish a division specializing in cost planning, including cost development and cost control, in order to strengthen support for Mazda's domestic and international production sites including Japan, Mexico, and Thailand, and to increase cost-competitiveness on a global basis.

Details of the organizational changes

• The Cost Planning Department, Cost Innovation Department and cost management functions of the Corporate Planning & Development Division have been transferred to the newly-established Cost Planning Division.
